In Schedule 1, a product’s price depends on its effects, and its effects depend on which ingredients you add and in what order. The rules are deterministic: the same base and the same ingredients in the same order always give the same mix. That is what lets Schedule 1 Companion (opens in new tab) compute a mix before you make it.
Base products
There are 7 base products. The four strains start with one effect each: OG Kush is Calming, Sour Diesel is Refreshing, Green Crack is Energizing and Grandaddy Purple is Sedating. Meth, Cocaine and Shrooms start with no effects. A mix can hold at most 8 effects.
What an ingredient does
Each of the 16 ingredients does two things when it goes in, in this order:
- Applies its rules. Each rule says: if the mix has effect A, replace it with effect B. Some rules also require that another effect is absent. All of an ingredient’s rules are checked against the effects the mix had before it went in, so an ingredient never transforms an effect it just created.
- Adds its own effect, if the mix does not already have it and has fewer than 8 effects. Cuke adds Energizing, Banana adds Gingeritis, Mega Bean adds Foggy, and so on.
The Effects List (opens in new tab) shows, for each of the 35 effects, which ingredient adds it and which ingredients turn it into something else.
Sell price
Every effect has a price multiplier. The sell price is the base price scaled by their sum:
sell price = round( base price × (1 + Σ effect multipliers) )
The four strains have a base price of $35, Shrooms $65, Meth $70 and Cocaine $150. The highest multipliers are Shrinking (0.60), Zombifying (0.58), Cyclopean (0.56) and Anti-Gravity (0.54). Some effects, such as Paranoia, add nothing.
Why order matters
The same two ingredients give a different mix depending on which goes in first. Here are Cuke and Banana on OG Kush in both orders:
| Step | Effects after the step | Sell price |
|---|---|---|
| OG Kush | Calming | $39 |
| + Cuke | Calming, Energizing | $46 |
| + Banana | Thought-Provoking, Sneaky, Gingeritis | $66 |
| OG Kush | Calming | $39 |
| + Banana | Sneaky, Gingeritis | $50 |
| + Cuke | Paranoia, Thought-Provoking, Energizing | $58 |
In the first order, Banana turns Calming into Sneaky and Energizing into Thought-Provoking, then adds Gingeritis. In the second, Banana goes in while there is no Energizing to transform. Cuke then turns Sneaky into Paranoia and Gingeritis into Thought-Provoking. Same ingredients and cost, $8 apart.
Working with the rules
- The Mix Calculator (opens in new tab) shows each step like the table above, with the ingredient cost and profit.
- The Reverse Calculator (opens in new tab) starts from the effects you want and searches the ingredient orders that produce them.
- Best Mixes (opens in new tab) lists the highest-value recipe for each base product, and the Customer Database (opens in new tab) lists which effects each customer prefers.
